 Excellent LCD choice September 5, 2008
I bought this model at the same time with Samsung LN52A750 (52"). Other than the ToC (Touch of Color) only appears top and bottom, and the little more 'round' shape on the bottom, and some internal differences, this TV is the same as 7 series.
This TV does swivel, and my other TV (LN52A750) does not if you use the stand.
Overall, it is a great TV with the best picture quality. You can really see the difference if you have Samsung LCD sitting side by side with any other brand LCD.
I believe Sony is coming out with its XBR 6,7, and 8 to compete with Samsung's 6, 7, 8, and 9 series. Not sure the pricing of Sony's, but with the pricing coming down few hundred dollars for the Samsung 6 and 7 series, I will highly recommend Samsung over Sony.
Great TV September 5, 2008
I've had this TV now for about a month and I'm totally impressed with the picture quality. The Olympics were awesome in high def as received over the air. The only complaint I have is the control panel on the front of the TV is almost invisible and for that reason unusable. Oh well that is what a remote is for.
Samsung 650 LCD HDTV September 4, 2008
we are very happy with this set. The picture and sound are great, and the TV looks like a work of art, with the red toned frame and shapely stand. We like the fact that the screen can swivel for viewing from any angle in our large living room.

I've had this TV for three months and am totally delighted with it. The other positive reviews reiterate the great picture and ease of use. If you're in the market for a HDTV, take a look at them in a local store. Every TV has it's pros and cons and none are perfect. If picture in picture (PIP) is a must have for you, then this TV may not be the one you want. It's picture is stunning,the best I've seen at an affordable price. For a great Blu-ray experience, watch Planet Earth...WOW, you'll be amazed. I mostly watch with an over the air antenna and get great local HDTV pictures with this TV. Just read the other reviews here, they really sum things up nicely. Oh yeah, I never thought I'd buy a TV from Amazon, but gave it a chance and glad I did.
My Best Choice ever! September 2, 2008
I looked for months and months before deciding on the Samsung LN46A650. It provides the best product and features for the best price. I have owned it for about a month now and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have not had any issues with clouding or dead pixels. At night with a perfectly dark room with no input to the TV you can just make out some irregularities from clouding, but even in the darkest of movies I have not been able to see any clouding. It still impresses with the large viewing angles. You are hard pressed to find a better TV for the cost.
