Customer Reviews: good tv, weak speakers July 4, 2010 Tom in St. Louis (St. Louis, MO United States) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
We just got this for our grandmother. The TV seems nice: picture is good, specs are great, and it's thinner than most. Having the DVD player integrated makes things a little simpler to use (one fewer remote). USB time shift looks useful but I haven't tried it yet.
The only thing I don't like about it is the sound. When I turn it up so I can hear it, the sound quality goes from ok to terrible, and I'm not hard of hearing. I think it will be ok for small rooms, and ideal for setups where it's used with a stereo system or headphones.
Also, for wall mounting, note that it's got VESA 75x75mm holes, and the wires come straight out of the back center of the TV (not to the side like some). This isn't a problem, but if you get a mount for it, make sure it's for 75x75 or 100x100. The 200x200 mounts will interfere with the wiring.
