Great TV September 6, 2008 I've had this TV for about 8 mo now and I love it. I like the handle built into the top of the unit so you can just grab it and carry it around with one hand. All you need is a good powered rabbit ears to get digital HD pictures when you are on the go. I am very happy with the picture on this TV. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a small portable TV.
Not so bad December 24, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this TV for our small kitchen. I was worried because I hadn't read any great reviews about it. For it's purpose, the tv is great. The only thing is that the speakers aren't all that great. It sounds like a computer would without speakers attached...well, maybe it's not that bad. It's just not so great either. I would agree that you would need to hook up better speakers. For the price, I love it.
OK picture, bad sound December 18, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've been looking for a cheap HDTV for the kitchen. Olevia is a good brand and this TV fit my space. Now that I've seen it I'm not wild about it, and I'm not sure I want to keep it.
Note: It is NOT 16:9. The box clearly says 16:10. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was 16:10.
The speakers are awful. Words can't describe how bad the sound is. External speakers are a must. Bummer.
As with most LCDs, the black level and contrast are bad, but I wasn't expecting much.
The good thing I wasn't expecting: "Big Picture Technology" works magic on 4:3 standard def video. 4:3 images fill the 16:10 frame without obvious distortion. How do they do that?
