 A great litte TV January 9, 2009
If you need big-TV quality in a small space, try the Samsung 19-inch. Picture quality and sound are excellent, and the thin profile makes this TV a good choice for small spaces, like the kitchen, which is where ours is located. We researched Consumer Reports before buying, and they are favorable to the Samsung brand, so we felt confident in making this purchase. Hope to get years of service from this set.
Excellent purchase. January 7, 2009
Both my husband and I are very pleased with this product.We had heard from several friends and other sources that Samsung was the best quality for the money, and we haven't been disappointed. We also ordered a Samsung 46" LCD and are even more impressed with that. If we buy any more electronics, we are sure to look at Samsung first.

This is the second Samsung LCD that I've purchased, the other was a 26 inch model. They are both reliable and sharp, but have a certain picture quality that they share. In production we called it "electric" which I would interpret as a little thin and artificial. Even with several attempts to adjust the color, it doesn't feel as rich and natural as I would like. Some other LCD's seem to share this trait, but it is acceptable.
The other trait that annoys me at times is the plastic of the frame around the picture. Like most flat screens, it is black but very glossy. On a sunny day it can be distracting. In the future I'll be looking for someone who makes the frame in a flat finish.

I'm a Samsung fan. I already had a 42" Samsung LCD HDTV so I knew what to expect. Shipping was fast and it worked great right out of the box.
Good for its Purpose January 6, 2009
This is a nice and attractive 19" product that worked fine out of the box when connected to the cable. Its setup is intuitive if slightly time consuming and getting to the sleep mode takes a few more clicks that should be necessary. But overall I would recommend this unit without reservation where a larger screen isn't warranted.
