This was a gift for my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas. They loved it and my son says it was extremely easy to set up. He is happy with the product and I am happy that he is happy!

I've been reading the reviews for the Sony Blu-Ray Players...the BDP-S350 and the BDP S550 and I don't like what I'm reading. Who makes a Blu-Ray Player that has all the bells and whistles we're used to? Like when you pause it and if it stops it returns to the same place where you left off. Or the display of the title and chapters. Or the ease in fast forward and rewind. And how about the zoom and fill the screen to avoid letter-boxing???? What deck does this? And is it able to sync with my Sony Bravia LCD TV? Anyone out there know the answer? If so...tell me so I can purchase this deck from Amazon.com. That would make everyone happy to have such a posting on their website. The idea is to make the customers happy with a player that's hassle free. And one more thing...doesn't take 10 minutes to download a movie or 3 hours to set up the deck. Help!

Did alot of comparison to this model and this one is great and really isn't that expensive. BEAUTIFUL picture and enhances old dvd's too of course not to "blue ray" standards but they still look great.

I purchase a Sonly BDPS550 1080; Blue-ray Player. It's great. The picture quality is awesome and I have been enjoying it. Only thing wrong is that I cannot download from Netflix. Other than that little bit, it's well worth the money.

I reviewed several blu-ray players before buying this one and i was not disappointed this a fantastic player for my old dvds and blu-ray.
